Tiers

Every card carries a tier, from Prototype to LTS. No editorial picks: it reflects the repo’s star count, rechecked every night, and changes along with it.

How rarity follows the stars

The catalog gathers public repos with at least 100 stars. RepoMasters splits them into six tiers with round thresholds, the same for every language: the more stars a repo has, the higher its tier, and the rarer it is in the catalog.

Each pull first picks a tier using the published odds, then a random repo among those that carry it. A giant is therefore rare to pull and a small project common: on average, an LTS shows up in 1 floppy out of 200.

Living rarity

Stars change, and so does the tier. Every night, RepoMasters rechecks the stars across the whole catalog: a repo that crosses a threshold changes tier for every copy, up or down.

Early adopter

Pulled a repo before it took off? If one of your cards climbs at least 2 tiers after you get it, reaching Beta or higher, it earns the Early adopter badge: you keep it even if the repo drops back, and it pays 10 bytes per tier gained.
