Cron jobs and achievements

How it works

Every day you get 3 daily cron jobs, picked at random for you. You can swap one a day for free. They refresh at 04:00 UTC; a job you finished the day before can still be claimed until the next refresh.

Claim all 3 daily jobs to earn a bonus of 100 XP.

Not every cron job is equally rare: a common job comes up often, a rare one only now and then. You never get two jobs of the same kind on the same day: only one floppy job, only one tier job.

Each week adds 3 weekly jobs, to finish before Monday. They can’t be swapped.

  Pull a repo that’s new to your drive from a floppy.

• Get 8 Beta repos or better

  Pull a Beta, RC, Stable or LTS repo from a floppy.

• Get 5 RC repos or better

  150 XP

  Pull an RC, Stable or LTS repo from a floppy.

  Uncommon

• Get 2 Stable repos or better

  250 XP

  Pull a Stable or LTS repo from a floppy.

  Rare

• Add 6 repos to collections you started

  150 XP

  Get a new repo from a collection you already have at least one repo from. Floppies, trades and auctions all count.

  Uncommon

• Get 2 repos from your watchlist

  150 XP

  Get a repo from your watchlist that you’ve never owned. Floppies, trades and auctions all count. The job only comes up if you’re missing at least one.

  Recycle cards from your drive.

• Close 2 deals on the market

  Sell a repo at auction, or win an auction. Available from level 5.

• Bid on 3 different auctions

  Bid on other players’ auctions. Each auction counts once, as soon as your bid is accepted. Available from level 5.

Achievements

Each achievement has three tiers, Bronze, Silver and Gold, worth 50 XP, 150 XP and 400 XP. The Gold tier unlocks a title to show on your profile.

• Floppy drive

  Every floppy you insert counts.

  Tiers: 10 / 100 / 1,000Gold tier title: Disk jockey

• Collector

  Every repo that joins your drive for the first time, whether from a floppy, a trade or an auction.

  Tiers: 100 / 1,000 / 10,000Gold tier title: Walking encyclopedia

• Collections compiled

  Compile a collection of at least 5 repos once you own every repo in it.

  Tiers: 1 / 10 / 50Gold tier title: Master compiler

• Small collections compiled

  Compile a small collection (3 or 4 repos) once you own every repo in it.

  Tiers: 1 / 10 / 30Gold tier title: King of trilogies

• Early adopter

  One of your repos climbs at least two tiers after you get it, reaching Beta or higher.

  Tiers: 1 / 10 / 50Gold tier title: Visionary

• Discoverer

  Be the first player to pull a repo.

  Tiers: 1 / 100 / 1,000Gold tier title: Trailblazer

• LTS

  Pull an LTS from a floppy.

  Tiers: 1 / 5 / 25Gold tier title: LTS keeper

• Best streak

  Your longest streak: days in a row with a floppy inserted and, from level 5, a repo put up for auction.

  Tiers: 7 / 30 / 100Gold tier title: Unstoppable

• Watchlist hunter

  Get a repo from your watchlist that you’ve never owned. Floppies, trades and auctions all count.

  Tiers: 1 / 10 / 50Gold tier title: List hunter

• Market sales

  Every repo you sell at auction.

  Tiers: 1 / 25 / 250Gold tier title: Auctioneer

• Trades

  Every trade you complete with a friend.

  Tiers: 1 / 10 / 50Gold tier title: Trade ace

Good to know

A repo only counts once. If it has ever been on your drive, getting it back after selling, recycling or trading it no longer counts as a new repo or toward your watchlist.
